María Gabriela Cobos López

About me:
Gabriela is a passionate changemaker on a mission to transform her city through cycling. She’s led bold actions to improve bike infrastructure, working hand-in-hand with governments, local communities, and cycling collectives.
Driven by a deep commitment to social and environmental justice, Gabriela uses her voice to fight for safer streets, especially for women and marginalized groups. Her creative content on social media inspires action, sparks conversations, and builds strong networks for change.

Plans for the term:
As Bicycle Mayor, Gabriela is ready to push for a safer, more inclusive city—where choosing a bike means freedom, not fear.
Her priorities:
– Build safer infrastructure in critical areas and push for more cycling-friendly budgets
– Launch media campaigns to show the potential of everyday cycling
– Organize events to grow a proud, visible cycling community
– Fight for equality, respect and visibility for women, crash victims, and people with disabilities

Gabriela will measure success through real results: more cyclists on the streets, more funding for bikes, more connected lanes, and safer rides for all. Joining the global Bicycle Mayor Network will supercharge her work, connecting her with ideas, tools, and allies to bring change to life in El Marqués.
