I’m Giuseppe, though most people know me as Maledette Biciclette Milanesi. I approach urban mobility with a mix of irony and sharp sarcasm—unconventional tools I use to challenge outdated mindsets and draw attention to an issue that affects us all. For me, the bicycle is more than a means of transport—it’s a symbol of reclaiming the city for people. It represents a shift away from car dominance toward more livable, human-centred urban spaces. Through my channels, I support and amplify Milan’s growing cycling culture. Over time, my content has helped spark local conversations, influence policy shifts, and bring greater visibility to the role of cycling in shaping a better Milan.
My plans for the term:
During the term, I’ll continue using my platform to break down the cultural, infrastructural, and psychological barriers that keep cycling from being seen as a safe, everyday mode of transport in Milan. My key focus will be advocating for stronger, safer cycling infrastructure—so that families and individuals who want to stop relying on cars can finally have a real, secure alternative. I want to help shift the narrative: cycling isn’t a fringe activity—it should be for everyone. And car use shouldn’t be the default, but the exception.
Through bold campaigns, creative collaborations, and a healthy dose of sarcasm, I’ll keep pushing for a city that puts people—and bikes—at the centre.
