I am a plastic surgeon by profession and my passion is cycling. I teach and practice plastic surgery in a medical institution in Imphal. I feel that cycles can change you, your city and society. I love being a part of nature and cycling is the least we can do not to harm the nature.

Re-introduce cycling to transform my city.
What are the obstacles and challenges you’re facing in your city?
Road safety is one obstacle and to create cycle lanes is a major challenge.
What are your next steps now that you are the Bicycle Mayor?
Continue what we have been doing cycling, encourage others to take up cycling and spread awareness about cycling.
What can other cities learn from your city?
As the public transport system is not well developed, we can show others that cycling can be an answer to public transport.
