C.D. Francis

I am C.D. Francis, a husband and father to three children. I’ve been serving the Kerala State Electricity Board for the last 15 years as a Lineman.

How would you describe your mission?

Let the Earth itself be a paradise with a genuine environment for all living-beings without there being even a toxic atmosphere and toxic mind where my, and our, accountability must be – to protect the environment and conserve energy. Accordingly, the vision leads to a bright tomorrow and healthy next generation. “Be not a numinous thoughts
but be the ‘Being’ factors.”

What are the obstacles and challenges you’re facing in your city?

According to me, the obstacles are just common as per the prevailing particular circumstances. Our city specifically known as the Cultural District (town) of our state, Kerala – is also referred to as “The God’s of Own Country” – being a great state that is perfectly literate in green energy. Despite this, to elaborate further on the obstacles in its correct perspective, I find that not enough attention has been put to awareness. Our mission is yet to be accelerated so as to enable to reach into the heart of the people. Hence, the deserved unification of groups in my city seems to be a challenge.

What are your next steps now that you are the Bicycle Mayor?

✓ Learn much from cycling authorities and BYCS Global Programs.
✓ Disseminate the relevant ideas upon the reasons and remedial measures pertaining to global warming, environmental issues, universal crisis, energy conservation and so on…
✓ Do much and a lesson regarding “the consumption, prevent and protect theory” even apart from the Adaptation Theory, which to my dismay is beyond the thoughts of natural adaptation.
✓ The factor – the natural calamities are further expected shortly and frequently, absolutely becoming a threat to mankind, upon which action must be taken now.

What can other cities learn from your city?

As a matter of fact, our city not only can teach but obviously rewind, review, and recall the weird past natural calamities that have taken place in our city and suburbs on account of the heavy flooding of the last two years consecutively and following tragedies, and yet another expected crisis as well are to be taken into consideration very positively. My city can teach a good lesson is the realisation and the “Learning Point” and act accordingly to unite for environmental protection. Not just my city but everyone must realize the natural numinous phenomenon with regards to WHY and that accountability lies with us.
