About
Mi nombre es Ariana Herrera, desde pequeña la bicicleta ha formado parte de mi vida, durante estos últimos aún más, me he dedicado a estudiar la movilidad urbana sustentable desde múltiples enfoques y dentro de mi experiencia como activista en los temas de movilidad, derechos de niños y niñas, igualdad de género y educación, me encuentro comprometida como alcalde de bicicleta para abordar los desafíos de mi ciudad y buscar herramientas para la transformación social, política y ambiental.
Goals
The promotion and support of cycling, coupled with the establishment and enhancement of cycle infrastructure, aim to achieve specific objectives:
1. Enhance the connectivity of the cycleway network by analyzing its conditions and how it integrates with the city and its surroundings.
2. Increase bicycle usage by promoting more trips, encouraging diversified transportation modes to decrease car reliance, and favoring public transport options, walking, and, most notably, cycling.
3. Ensure that the cycle-road infrastructure is accessible to everyone, providing suitable conditions for universal use. Encourage community participation in its design and promote the use of other efficient and sustainable transportation modes, with a particular emphasis on cycling.
