About me:

As a working mother of three children (10 and under) I am very reliant on my cargo bike often with the added trailer. I love good cycling infrastructure especially when the needs of families have been considered. I am an active part of Colognes Kidical Mass Team and was part of a team of parents who, together with Kidical Mass organised a week of demonstrations that lead up to our school taking part in the Colognes school street pilot scheme. On a monthly basis I run our local bike bus – getting about 60 children and parents to school by bike. For both programmes (school streets and bike busses) I act as a coach to parents guiding them through the process to set up their own events.

My plans for the term:

During my term, I plan on working closely with local government officials to reach several targets including the council’s own 50/30 plan which is to have 50% of all journeys made by cycling or walking by 2030. I want to get more kids onto bikes, every child should be able to ride a bike when leaving primary school. I want children to be independently mobile and not to have to rely on adults to take them to school, sports training or to meet up with the friends.
