I am an architect, fully engaged in working on different city scales and urban fronts. My experience includes architecture, urban design, urban planning, and collaboration with Urban Cycle Planning of Denmark on some cycling projects in Quito, Havana, and Copenhagen. I am the head of the Cycling Games project in Ecuador that seeks to involve children in urban mobility using the Danish methodology of “learning by playing”. I hold a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and a Master’s in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
What are your plans as Bicycle Mayor?
As Bicycle Mayor of Quito, I would promote activities focused on including kids in urban mobility and street-level projects. I would promote the Cycling Games activity in my city and build evidence to scale it. I would broadcast cycling-related actions of civic organizations and public agencies over local and international networks.
