Silke is an enthusiastic student with interests in health and sustainability. One of her missions is to do as much as she can to help society and try to make it a better place. Growing up in the Netherlands cycling came very naturally and at the age of 25 she rather takes the bicycle instead of a car with many benefits as health and sustainability wise.
At this moment she’s following the study applied psychology at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam and specialises herself in human behaviour and how to change that by developing interventions. She would like to use these skills to achieve the mission of BYCS.
At BYCS, Silke works as an intern at projects that research the barriers of bicycle use among kids and their parents. In these projects she is trying to stimulate bicycle use and strengthen human infrastructure.
