Maarten Woolthuis

Maarten worked for a number of years across all disciplines related to transport, from managing public tenders to launching new technologies, running public-private contracts, overseeing communications campaigns and building effective stakeholder collaborations. But it was his passion for active mobility and sustainable transportation that led to him to help establish Bike to Work, a business using smart technology and engagement to increase cycling uptake amongst commuters. Seeing the impact of this on individuals, organizations and communities, he then looked to co-found BYCS to take the impact of increased cycling to the city level. He is motivated by the radical transformation that breakthrough ideas around cycling can bring.

If you’d like to know more about our work, or if you have new ideas for ways we can collaborate, Maarten would love to hear from you.

At BYCS we work towards 50by30 through initiating, testing and scaling breakthrough ideas around cycling. We run pilots, research, campaigns, consulting projects, and global programs. Whatever stage of cycling maturity your city or business is at, and wherever you are in the world, we can support your progress. Together, we can create the future we all want to see.
