BYCS Labs

Cycling is transformation – co-creation for human-centric cities

Our BYCS Labs around the world are an interactive experience to innovate, test, and scale various cycling innovations in different environments. They are space for learning, participation, and co-creation embedded in the physical fabric of the city, each one adapting to its own setting. By activating public space, BYCS Labs engage inclusively with citizens, and provide a source for qualitative research to gather context specific insights. This enables us to effectively communicate the benefits of cycling while emerging with solutions that respond directly to the needs of people.

We have been operating Labs across the Netherlands for three years in the Nieuw-West and Zuidas neighbourhoods of Amsterdam, as well as the Gelderland province. Pop-up Labs have also been held in Munich, Rio de Janeiro and Dublin.

We believe every city can benefit from a BYCS Lab.
