Vera has a great passion for nature, ecology and sustainable transition. She is interested in the opportunities that biking offers in the mitigation of global warming and in the reduction in air, noise and light pollution, as it decreases the disturbance on the inhabitants and the wildlife of cities.
She has an academic background in environmental science and environmental management which made her develop a multi-perspective and interdisciplinary approach to tackle environmental problems.
At BYCS she works in the development of a resource hub for the global network of bicycle mayors. She is amazed by the societal and environmental opportunities of biking that Bicycle Mayors can bring and unlock in different urban contexts around the world.
