Arriving in the urban metropolis of London, a far stretch from her country roots, Rosa grew curious over matters she had previously taken for granted, specifically of one’s right to clean air and the broader liveability of our urban environments.
After some hands-on experience as a Sustainability Consultant, she chose to pursue her passion academically, studying Environment and Infrastructure Planning at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Having traversed the infinite cycle lanes of Groningen and, coupled with her newly acquired degree, there was little doubt left in her mind that with effective stakeholder engagement and the right infrastructure, cycling in cities can flourish.
Excited by the opportunity to share her passion with a wider audience, Rosa joined BYCS as a Content and Communications Intern. Here she engages with our audience through our social media channels, and assists with research that explores the intersectionality of cycling in urban environments.
