Over the years, Lucas has been been a cyclist while living in Paris, London, Montreal, Mexico City, Los Angeles and Amsterdam, each one strengthening his desire to work towards healthier and more equitable cities.
He previously worked at the NewCities Foundation and managed the content and program for CoMotion LA, a summit on the future of mobility. He is passionate about engaging diverse stakeholders on topics such as human-centric urban design, active mobility, gender & transportation, multi-modality and travel behaviour modification.
Lucas has a bachelors in developmental anthropology and urban systems from McGill University and is currently pursuing a masters in Human Geography at the University of Utrecht, with a focus on daily life and public space in cities.
Lucas is excited to grow BYCS’ Bicycle Mayor Network in the Americas and help amplify the voices of community leaders striving for more bike-friendly cities.
