Marketing & Communications Executive (Dutch speaking)

Do you have a passion for positively transforming our cities to be more human, healthy and sustainable? Do you believe the bicycle is not just about transportation but is also one of our greatest tools for transformation? And… very importantly, are you a confident and passionate communicator, who understands the power of the right message to change the way people think and act? We are on the hunt for a new superstar to help power up our communications activities and take our stories to many more people around the world.

You will join as a member of our established communications team (reporting in to our Director of Communications), and be part of a wider, dynamic, international team of creatives, campaigners, project leaders and event organisers all working towards our Mission of radically accelerating the adoption of cycling worldwide. Essentially, you must speak and write fluent Dutch – and preferably English also. You will have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

The role will be varied but may include:

  • Copywriting (this is an essential requirement)
  • Writing press releases
  • Content creation and content marketing
  • Managing social media activities
  • Crafting / managing newsletters
  • Website management
  • Materials production
  • Stakeholder management

At BYCS, effective communications is essential to help us share our ideas, bring on new partners and change the way people think and act in cities around the world. The communications team supports the company through brand building, business development, stakeholder management, and behavioural change campaigns. We work in a great office in the Jordaan, Amsterdam and you will enjoy a range of personal and professional development opportunities.

The role may be full or part time, depending on your experience – the important thing is that we find the person who is committed to our Mission, shares our Values and has the skills to take our communications forward.
